Danville, CA
The De Urioste project was a full backyard transformation centered around creating a warm, functional, and highly detailed outdoor living space for entertaining and everyday enjoyment.
The homeowners wanted a space that felt both inviting and refined a place where they could gather with family and friends under a covered structure while still maintaining an open connection to the rest of the backyard.
SG Construction worked closely with the homeowners to design and build a custom pavilion, extended pergola, and integrated outdoor living features that now serve as the focal point of the property.
From the beginning, the goal was to create a complete outdoor environment that combined comfort, functionality, and visual cohesion with the existing home.
The homeowners wanted:
• A covered pavilion space for gathering and dining
• An integrated outdoor kitchen and fireplace
• A pergola structure to extend usable space across the yard
• A cohesive design that matched the architecture of the home
Equally important, they wanted to feel confident and informed throughout the entire process.
Pavilion Size: Approximately 700 square feet Pergola Length: Approximately 250 feet
Features include:
• Custom cedar open beam pavilion
• Asphalt shingle roofing to matchresidence
• Full electrical system (lighting, fans, AV)
• Integrated heating system
• Custom stone fireplace
• Outdoor kitchen and serving counter
•Extended cedar pergola
• Custom stain finish
• Structural foundation formasonry elements

Clients receive regular updates and have 24/7 access to their project through our online client portal, where they can see schedules, documents, progress photos, and messages. We also set clear response-time expectations, so you’re never wondering what’s happening.
We use a detailed, fixed-price contract that clearly outlines scope, materials, and costs upfront. If changes are requested, they’re documented and approved before any work moves forward — no surprises.
Before construction begins, we provide a project schedule with a defined completion date. This allows you to plan gatherings, holidays, and travel with confidence.
Most contractors focus only on the build. We focus on the entire experience — communication, documentation, scheduling, and craftsmanship — so the process is just as good as the finished space.
Changes are common and expected. We handle them through a clear change-order process that outlines cost and timeline impacts upfront, so you stay in control at all times.
We manage the day-to-day details so you don’t have to. We’ll guide you through key decisions, but our goal is to make the process as hands-off and stress-free as possible.
We use proven materials, experienced craftsmen, and detailed documentation to ensure the finished project meets expectations. Our work is designed to last and reflect the quality of your home.
Construction can have variables, but our process is built to handle them proactively. With clear communication, documented decisions, and accountability, issues are addressed quickly and transparently.
